I appreciate your voice, but in all due respect: Some of us fellow techno optimists disagree with many of your increasingly strident political takes and assumptions. Ex: "We believe a Universal Basic Income would turn people into zoo animals to be farmed by the state." Is Sam Altman not a techno optimist? 🤔

I just got to the "The Enemy" section. Oof. 😑 100% with you on tech optimism! But this should be called the Marc Andreesen Manifesto.

Totally agree. Plenty of compelling points in this piece but I’m not sure why there had to be so much “yikes”-worthy parts in the Enemy section. So much of the individualistic and good vs evil framing strikes me as deeply pessimistic, not optimistic.
