Tbh the healthiest thing for farcaster longterm succes would probably be for there to be no Warpcast app

Because this app is made by the creators of farcaster network, people will always default to this one

If this one didn’t exist, people would be way more into exploring and seeing the decentralized possibility of what farcaster is, and exploring many different clients

For sure it was beneficial when it launched, at this point I don’t believe it is

especially since I think at times it acts in a too centralized manner although I’m glad there have been changes to the channels in that regard 

Lens protocol did the same thing, launched with a client, then removed their own client

And what company or team would have invested so much money (and years) in the development of a client, based on the simple whitepaper that was Farcaster at the time? Apart from Farcaster themselves?

Warpcast is what brought Farcaster to the forefront, and attracted so many people.
Without Warpcast, Farcaster would have remained nothing more than a pretty dream.

Give the ecosystem time to mature. Nature will do the rest. And alternatives will grow
