As someone who respects Kendrick a ton, but doesn't listen to him much,(given I'm mostly a rock guy) after watching the half time show, I didn't really think his music was necessarily superbowl half-time show appropriate, it would be like if radiohead performed (in an artistic sense - they are very good artists, but not necessarily sing along, vibe-y stadium artists). That being said, I liked the performance, the setup was cool, and the music was well performed. I can't say I knew every song, Not like us was good, but I'd agree the performance itself was more hyped up cos Drake beef and Grammy's. I still think it's insane that he washed the Grammy's then did superbowl half time, that is an incredible musical achievement. 1 reply
