The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filed an appeal in the case against Ripple On August 7, a judge ruled that Ripple must pay a civil penalty of $125 million, although the SEC demanded $2 billion. The SEC said the district court's decision in the Ripple case was inconsistent with decades of Supreme Court precedent and securities laws.

eToro has reached an agreement with the SEC and will stop supporting almost all crypto assets on its platform eToro will also pay a $1.5 million fine. Customers will be able to continue trading BTC, BCH and ETH. The platform was previously accused of operating an unregistered brokerage and clearing agency due to its crypto business.

Qatar Regulators announced the creation of a regulatory framework for digital assets The rules include tokenization processes and legal recognition of ownership of tokens and underlying assets, custody agreements, transfers and exchanges. The new provisions also legally recognize smart contracts. A foreign business may not involve local partners, but rather own its company entirely in Qatar. In addition, they can transfer all their profits outside of Qatar. A 10% income tax will be charged for working in the country.

story time in 2019 i qualified for the world athletics championships in Doha via world rankings but i didn't get selected by my federation because they believed i wouldn't medal or make the final there i was 21 years old and i was devastated as i had trained so hard however earlier that year i got talking to a random guy that i was sat next to in my lecture at uni he asked me what my dream job would be if i wasn't an athlete and i said ' tv presenter' a few months later he got a summer internship at the BBC and every day he pitched about me to them the exec at bbc listened, liked my content on instagram and then gave me a call i ended up going to that world championships as a fully accredited bbc presenter it was so much fun!!!! moral of the story sometimes things don't work out the way you want them too.. but they can still work out! oh and speak up about your dreams, you never know who is listening! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uUM7Ru3Qnhs
