the hu.ma.ne product demo is so off putting and uncanny, and i am struggling to find words that explain why. is it because it feels like they’re trying to boil the ocean with their version 1? maybe the speaking style or how slow the transitions are to showcase simple tasks? anyone else feel this way?

I think part of it is them trying to come across as profound and give off a “this is the next Apple” vibe but it just doesn’t hit the same vs. going back and watching Steve Jobs charismatically reveal the iPhone in 2007

Agree. Steve Jobs was authentic to his style. That's why it came out as very natural. One thing is to be inspired by his style, but trying to mimic it without being Steve Jobs will come across as unauthentic. Find your own style. Even if you come across as awkward to some, like Elon does. At least he's authentic.
