One more reason for me to consider switching back to Windows — still eyeing a frame.work to replace my Macbook Air If they had a trade in program I would switch in a heartbeat

Number 1 is the only one that truly concerns me... it also surprises me since now iOS is becoming more open... 🤷 I agree with @cassie, I'll never go for Windows, so if MacOS falls it'll be finally time for Linux to become my daily driver.

There is a trend, but we will never get there, for a single reason: The whole Apple ecosystem dev activity takes place in macOS, and without the freedom to run things not in the AppStore, devs can't work.
