I didn't know about this feature but apparently one thing people love about Bluesky is that it makes it easy to block lists of users en masse. Shadowban as a service.

Not really shadowbanning. Itβs just blocking but made easy. Shadowbanning is algorithmic de-emphasization or post hiding in the algorithm itself. This is opt-in, per user, feed curation.

huge unforced error for personalities that are exposing themselves to public provenance, no matter the scale of purge. if they were leaders in bleeding-edge industries, this would be a different story, but BS strikes me as super-nontechnical but for some infosec practicioners, so world market is going to give them the tumblr treatment.

@harris-
One cool idea with open data and open clients I wanted to implement was open sourcing or crowd funding pluggable algorithms as a service. Writing good engagement / content surfacing is an entire team or platform in itself and if you are lean building consumer outsourcing that part to more expert builders could let a client focus on important features for stability and performance

Being able to have list of bots to block that people checked with "bot or not" would be great on here too.
