Tonight (technically tomorrow morning) at 2am, I'm hitting the pavement for a race.

It's a race that follows an old 1940s bakery delivery route around NYC, covering ~9 miles. 

The starting point and the route coordinates are a secret. And to prove you're on track, you gotta snap a selfie at 6 checkpoints.

from what I can tell the event is advertised a week in advance. 

They keep the starting location a secret until less than 24 hours from race time. 

It's all done in a generally mysterious way, which is part of the fun.

This race is starting in midtown east.

Do you know the starting point yet? I'm wondering how secret we are talking (secret to public? secret to participating runners?)
