Tonight (technically tomorrow morning) at 2am, I'm hitting the pavement for a race. It's a race that follows an old 1940s bakery delivery route around NYC, covering ~9 miles. The starting point and the route coordinates are a secret. And to prove you're on track, you gotta snap a selfie at 6 checkpoints. hell ya

Do you know the starting point yet? I'm wondering how secret we are talking (secret to public? secret to participating runners?)

from what I can tell the event is advertised a week in advance. They keep the starting location a secret until less than 24 hours from race time. It's all done in a generally mysterious way, which is part of the fun. This race is starting in midtown east.
