These are & are not circle packing? I was playing around with distributing points using variable Poisson disk sampling, creating Voronoi diagrams from those sites, then fitting the largest circle in each cell. Some cells randomly left empty. 2 layers with transparency. Hope u like them.

I love these! Reminds of my own project from way back when 'Behind the Canvas' that also plays with the idea of peering into something. Would love to see these where the front layer has much bigger circles to see more of the pattern in the background! 714 $degen

I did look at your article on that to see if I could use CSS drop shadows, but even if I could swing it I think it will look more convincing in 3D. And I can play with the lighting and the amount of space between layers and so on. Bigger holes on top is a good idea, thanks.

Thank you! These are experiments for an unfinished project. I’m going to do it in 3D so took a break to learn three.js.
