These are & are not circle packing? I was playing around with distributing points using variable Poisson disk sampling, creating Voronoi diagrams from those sites, then fitting the largest circle in each cell. Some cells randomly left empty. 2 layers with transparency. Hope u like them.

I tried to do some generative dice circle packing, but it's full of bugs (one radius error, errors in guessing if circle could go there or there, etc)... Conclusion: either you must be crazy patient, either circle packing is just a computer thing after all :-)

Spensieratezza is made with circle packing. Each brush stroke is contained in a circle and in some cases, like this one, even the colors are assigned based on circle packing areas.
