Our company, 100% remote, decided to shift from Slack to Discord for communication/collaboration Good decision, bad decision, no difference?

We've been on Discord for over a year now. Two things that I miss the most: 1. Being able to DM colleagues while knowing I won't disturb them in off hours. 2. Being able to trust an incoming DM.

^ These might actually be solvable with work/personal account separation โ€”ย I believe discord apps support multiple accounts now. Convinience runner-ups: 3. Being able to set a message reminder (great for grouping messages by topic to be dealt with in bulk at a later time). 4. Being able to schedule a messages.

Oh! One more: Discord search is ๐Ÿšฎand you might need to adopt external tools for searchable text.

Yea Discord allows multiple accounts. You can also allow DMs on a server level. I have it blocked for some discord servers and open for others
