one thing that always strikes me after visiting my parents, i really don't like HDTV everything appears like it's been made using a camcorder and motion/movements look very CGI, or as the kids today would say, AI generated just me?

It might be older tvs with fixed 120hz, mine was like that

their current tv is < 3 years, i think so what do you do? just regularly adjust settings?

Adjusting settings didn't fix it, had to live with fake and toy looking films 🫠
