imo countries like ID MY BN, it has to do a lot with the israel-hamas conflict due to muslim majority population, whereas MM TH LA are notorious for their golden triangle that has been rumored running human trafficking and pig-butchering scams linked to chinese authorities. 
PH has always been US's ally with a base over there, and SG though stated preference is neutral, has always leaned towards US.
VN though communist like china, post-war has been improving ties with US and soured with china because of south-china-sea territorial issue.
