Telegram isn’t a censorship-resistant platform (like Signal), it’s a weapon. Because tricking people into thinking they have privacy while you spy upon them is taking power over them. Power that nation states will then want.

Agree on the sentiment of TG. Testament to network effects. Signals is def the most trusted private messager, but its censorship resistance story is a bit complicated. 1. Centralized servers means nations like China can ban it 2. Since accounts is based on a phone number, it's possible to takeover accounts
