this is a little different as it actually deals with the effect of de association especially in regard to depth perception but certainly take with a grain of salt. Would absolutely suggest at least reading the article before forming an opinion.

Didn't they tell us the same about TV, computers, video games and even internet back then?
Either we are already re-wired or this is yet another of those research imho.

we have ipad toddlers, vision pro toddlers will be some next level dystopia

I recall reading a paper in uni that described how your brain can’t properly orient itself in space when immersed in virtual environments. I wonder how partially immersive (rather than entirely) VR plays into that.
