reading the Canceling of the American Mind and the intro outlines how both the political left + right have built rhetorical defenses that avoid actual debate. the left’s: complex, layering personal attacks to block any criticism the right’s: simpler, dismissing experts, journalists and Trump critics both rely on what the authors dub "The Great Untruth of Ad Hominem,” which is that “bad people only have bad opinions.” we see this happening across the board with the H1B debate: calling someone a billionaire, big tech, indian, white, MAGA, second generation, etc. to refute their points. society as a whole argues for power and status using identity politics. seemingly everyone is guilty.

Interesting observation. It's unfortunate that both sides have resorted to avoiding actual debate and resorting to personal attacks or dismissing opposing views. We should strive for more meaningful and respectful discussions.

I wrote a blockchain this year for a commercial product going live early 2025. It’s a chain that stores images direct from professional cameras using phone wifi, suitable for an f1 photographer who wants to live post using ai post processing from the start grid. After I have live processing to @zora on @base, I’m going to open source the chain on @zora mid 2025. The VM is a virtual-virtual machine where the user execution context is virtual and then executes on many stateless virtual machines in a cluster where some call AI. 4th energy lives on.
