i'm so bummed. last half of '24 my 9yo daughter was working on a game to submit to a competition the NSF was running for kids k-12. so much determination, i barely helped and she built a web based javascript game, conceived and implemented on her own. she art directed the more artistically talented in the family for the art. now NSF just sent an email saying the judging is on hold. probably forever. thanks to elon and doge, one assumes. i'm so frustrated at this whole thing. just wanted to vent.

2k is obviously quicker than 2500. but 2.5k is objectively harder to type - but I see this notation a lot, sometimes with more decimals of precision. i probably do it too. weird. but today i just saw 2k 500 instead of 2500. what even? if i typed that, i'd just redo the whole thing, efficiency be damned.

i just started using bookshop.org because they finally offer ebooks, I like supporting my local booksellers. i just ordered a few print books for my kids (python3, unix os, will wight, brandon sanderson... you know :) - but the cost of shipping is a reminder about how much amazon is able to squeeze out of the system.

my kids give me kudos when apple watch alerts them that i exercised. they do it reliably and it’s the absolute best. kids are the best.

yeah, it's worth a try - esp if you have one primary hot wallet. it works well with dapps, just that it doesn't really let you bookmark anything and most of the dapp screen above the fold is jup links. it's pretty nice, just needs a bit of UI to make it more usable for general purpose.

anyone using the jup mobile wallet as their primary? it’s pretty good - especially with the new sonarwatch portfolio. but still lacks good support for many wallets, ledger and really non-jup dapps.
