A longer thread with problem statement and reason. Eth charges fees to protect against ddos and lots of similar precedent in tradfi. So eth never "goes down" or is "too hard to sync" in practice. Fees are more palatable because there is expectation of profit per tx. For social media, there is (usually) no expectation or profit or precedent for a paywalled app that succeeded. It seem inevitable that we need at least some upsell for users to get in and contribute before we can charge them. But we can't also let the network go down or get congested, because then no one can build apps.

immprint was our first (and only) fully AI artist. also, it was another artist-in-residence mint, which means that it was free for community members who visited a gallery IRL. i always love seeing secondary activity for artist-in-residence mints because it shows how you can create value by giving art away for free.

embedded wallets inside frames feel like an anti pattern at warpcast and super we spend a lot of time to make the wallet connections good (warpcast through mvp, us through super wallet) feels backwards to add another layer of complexity and doesn’t actually result in a better UX
