Of the several other options I am in, I prefer Geneva Homes and Clubhouse Houses. Geneva has more formats/features built in, but CH is rolling out new features every week. Both have some version of token-gating as well.

Looks like they are web2, so what are the advantages over discourse, other than UI? They are still centrally controlled, could collect data, censor, shut down, not opensource etc? I am having trouble seeing why this would be better than discourse?

Niche is building web3 community platform on NEAR but it’s really early days over there especially for UX. The unique twist to it is that it’s visual based posts so has an IG feel.

There are 2 others on near that I have used. One is called myriad, and I forget the name of the other one.but they don't really have groups and are not like discord. I will try niche when it is available but I think it is mobile only for now
