wtf is the current meta of farcaster? was surprised to see hundreds of replies under every post on /trending but then i tried to read them and it's just spam? am i missing the meta? do i need to nurture spammy replies? will tip 1000 degen to everyone who likes, recasts and replies

That last sentence is pretty spammy, spam will always be there, the gold is hidden behind the spam (art, memes, real conversations, etc)

A lot of it is farmers spamming for interaction to get degen tips, etc. There are real people in the replies tho. I have taking to sending out the occasional "ping this post if you are real" threads in no channel to make sure I know who I should be watching for.

on the one hand, influencers and algorithms themselves provoke users to no-brain interaction. on the other hand, there are many real people in a shadow ban because they agreed to play this game, while real spammers are free it’s a big problem, i think

Seems like you don’t need to nurture them; they show up anyway. Lots of discord-like grind comments: “This project will be successful” “Sup bro” “LFG can’t wait” And so on. Farcaster IS the new meta, but migration has brought past habits.

I've noticed an increase in comments that are of no value like everywhere else is flooded with. I don't know if it's just bots or these people don't understand the concept of reading for context or just reading at all. I guess it's unavoidable.
