Moonpay, a cryptocurrency payment infrastructure, has registered with the Australian Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (AUSTRAC) and provides digital currency exchange services in Australia. This registration will enable Moonpay to establish local payment processing relationships and provide alternative payment methods such as Osko and PayID for Australian users. Digital asset management company ParaFiCapital announced that it will tokenize a portion of its $1.2 billion investment portfolio on the Avalanche blockchain through the Securitize platform. This is the company's first attempt at fund tokenization, providing a portion of equity in its latest venture capital fund. Through tokenization, investors can buy and sell these tokenized shares on digital platforms. ParaFiCapital founder Ben Forman stated that this move is not only an investment in technology, but also a practical application. According to Bitcoin.com, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of Nigeria has obtained court approval to freeze over $330000 (SGD 548.6 million) of suspicious funds deposited into cryptocurrency users' bank accounts. The institution believes that these bank accounts have led to the continuous depreciation of the local currency. The affected bank accounts are owned by cryptocurrency users trading on global platforms such as KuCoin. EFCC believes that these frozen funds are suspected of being used for malicious cryptocurrency trading to manipulate prices. @dru1dd
