For years, it was in political discourse that reactionary forces came from red states. But with tech lords and oligarchs rising, the most destructive forces now seem rooted in the west coast and northwest. Is there something about that region—beyond Silicon Valley—that drives this?

It's an interesting question. Most of "tech oligarchs" like Musk, Bezos are former Democrats supporter and only recently switched to Republican, or Team Trump. So maybe the question is why Democrats alienated their support within tech oligarchs?
