If you can, go to Tuolumne Meadows in Yosemite. The Valley is very belt up at this point, and if you’re looking to camp, there’s likely no room unless you come far in advance. The Meadows is breathtaking in an Alps kind of way, and much quieter. Worth stopping in the Valley just to see El Capitan and then move on. I’ve also been to Sequoia but it was so long ago I don’t remember what’s there.

Yosemite: • Tuolumne was beautiful. Very much worth the time. • We stayed in the Curry Village tents and were more than comfortable (and affordable). There’s a Peet’s there, too; understandably busy even at 6am • We caught sunset on half dome from Glacier Point. Busy spot, but beautiful views. • Plan for everything in the valley to be busy & slow-ish. Make sure you get entry passes ahead of time for anywhere that might need them.

for sequoia and site seeing, the giant forest, grant grove village and the general sherman tree. there's also a log you can drive through on crescent meadow. hiking is everywhere with all types of trails and difficulty. kernville south of sequoia is not bad for river activities and basic food and drink

Mist trail up to vernal is still one of my faves in Yosemite. That or the hike towards upper Yosemite falls is Aweome too. Cant go wrong with just driving around the valley either but go early to beat the insane summer crowds

When going to Yosemite check if you need a reservation to enter. We didn’t know and didn’t have a reservation so had to enter before the NP rangers started for the day. This was before 5am 😅
