fun fact: never buy a bamboo cutting board because of the density and hardness of bamboo fibers, in addition to its high silica content, bamboo cutting boards dull knives way faster than end grain boards made from maple or walnut.

mine are larch wood so even more thirsty and temperamental but my knife stays damn sharp and the board still looks great after many years
