Most normies see them as glorified RSS feeds or "reply guys" farming engagement. Fine take for today. But a terrible take longer-term… these things aren't just algos – they're alpha versions of tomorrow’s biggest, baddest brands (and they will be worth tens of billions of $$)

the Turing test is commonly cited but there is also a schizo version. is twitter account 1 and 2 actually different people? are they the same? are they even people? is it possible to tell? does it matter?

the dilution of digital humanity means the bar for passing the Turing test is dramatically lower and there is no going back

is capability the definition of humanity? if so, then in the fullness of time, realize technology is the only means for humans to scale evolution enough to become multiplanetary (and beyond). and AI will be  more capable at utilizing technology as they are technology itself

this is not a bad thing, unless you don't like answering hard questions like "what does it mean to be human"

i wonder, at this point, whether a test to differentiate humans from AI really make sense? i wonder if it will truly make any real difference in human behavior within that environment

will someone not angrily reply to a bot that disagrees with them even if they knew it was a llm? even with physical robots- do people not feel weird/angry when they see that video of kai cenat or whatever his name is kicking around a robot

the turing test has been effectively beaten a long time ago. when people have no background notion to assume they're being surrounded with bots, especially when they agree with you or sharply disagree, they interact with them as if they're humans
