Loon Mountain, NH Known as a quality large enough mountain by New Englanders. Seldom traveled to by non locals. Great blend of groomed, glades and some powder. Small terrain park and half pipe if you're into that. Great local NE ski town feel. Only downside is no bowls or backcountry.

Kirkwood Sierra cement actually incredible when fresh as you can do super steep with lots of control Mountain has a ton of chutes and side country. Massive back country bowl accessible off back too Setting in high sierras is gorgeous; that high elevation means some of best snow in CA

Northeast: the top 2 that come to mind are Jay Peak in VT and Sugarloaf in ME. Jay has some of the best powder you’ll find in New England as it typically gets the most annual snowfall of any ski area in the region. It’s also extremely family friendly with great non-ski attractions including a cool indoor water park

Arlberg region in Austria. You can have any experience you want there. For apres ski, head to St Anton and go to MooserWirt or Crazy Kangaroo. My favorite place in the region is Zürs, which is less social and more quality skiing. Perfect conditions for carving but also a lot of offpiste spots. Also great hotels
