i know we all gave up on voice thanks to a decade of siri but it can be great ux for ex: compare the cognitive load using self checkout vs ordering from a human the latter is far easier – declarative and direct, zero eye hand coordination or ui to understand “double cheese with fries; pay with card” <— clean

chatgpt for me except it also is Not Good (it usually doesn't actually say its first response - does anyone else get that? gets a few words in and then starts saying something else which also gets cut off)

yes even tho I use chatgpt voice 5-35m a day for months the ux honestly isn’t great. - end of turn detection very bad, I have to insert umms. - if it interjects then you complete a thought, then it stops, then you stop, it doesn’t understand it was interrupted. - the personalities are 1d and annoying, not easy to override their Sys prompts - it doesn’t let you know when it disconnects, sometimes waste minutes monologuing. - can’t hand off between a text convo and back for some reason, classic voice is mid. You should try Gemini, its voice ux is more natural tho anecdotally found its intelligence a bit lower.
