rust is good but i think there should be a simpler good language that doesn't have macros (macros are sick but i think there's value in WYSIWYG) and is also garbage-collected

and then something like python but w first-class types, fewer quirks, & better ver+dep mgmt like rustup+cargo

the development of swift has been great to watch over the years. loved working with it!

unfortunately its main purpose is apple eco development, and it hasn’t spread much outside of that
