You will be rewarded ~3.000$/year/validator.
You need to take into account your time, your electricity, your internet connection, your hardware cost and the capital cost.

No, you might be able to make it run but it's asking for trouble. Use a normal computer. Consensus nodes need a fair bit of CPU. You can maybe skimp on RAM but it's not worth it. 

Execution node needs a big, good-quality SSD so get a normal low-to-medium-spec PC and put a good quality consumer-level SSD drive in there

We’re getting close to the point of a 4TB SSD requirement shortly it seems.

But yes, if you’re willing to put up 32ETH it’s not worth cost cutting on hardware.
