Was excited about PWAs a while ago but why would you build a PWA app when you can build a snappy, beautiful React Native app with Expo?

hard to focus on a PWA long term but if the goal of your app is to prove out a MVP in a really short amount of time or you don’t care nearly as much about the extra bits of polish a native/expo app gives you then it’s a solid option

I still think we should push towards native apps and /scoop is a great example(not just native but I’m pretty sure it’s written in Swift) — not just because it offers more than a PWA but because the more FC apps step up their design the better chance we have of making more experiences that get more folks onchain/active on Farcaster

We’ve been talking about this recently and I’m concerned that the friction of a PWA impacts user behavior enough that it’s not actually a good way to test an MVP. there are ideas that work as apps that just won’t work as PWAs or web apps.
