How would (sufficiently?) decentralized DMs work? Centralized DMs is one of the main reasons I come back to Warpcast. Seems like it would be an unlock if clients could share DMs.

Currently deploying. Unofficial head platypus of /lp 

merkle has the tech for it on lockdown for a reason, it gives them the user advantage edge specifically for WC.

I'd think the ultimate goal would be to grow the network and WC is a showcase for the tech. Agree DMs is a good moat if moat is the goal. Would love to hear from the FC team on this.

The main priority is grow the network. 

DCs are good for retention, not for growth.

We are chipping away at a long tail of performance improvements for DCs. Getting direct cast performance in a client to Telegram-level is non-trivial.

We will make direct casts interoperable and then decentralized. Just a matter of prioritization.

Farcaster screwed up so bad by not making ANY attempt to onboard Brazilian users booted from X. 

What a sad and pitiful showing of international support to do NOTHING while Bluesky onboarded over THREE MILLION new users as a result already.

I’m honestly super disappointed seeing nothing on this here.

By this logic inherently is FC then NOT a better alternative to X which in my mind.....shouldn't we believe that it is? 

Sign ups do inherently matter because you can't have protocol growth without it. 

The compelling reason to stay is finding support within a non political ecosystem especially for the arts community suddenly cut off from a financial resource, unless the underlying mechanics of FC are far more political than I'd like to believe.........
