Historically "no incentives, no airdrop" is a green flag to these guys... I have firsthand experience with dozens of projects who dropped tokens after saying that. Idk what could be done aside from somehow enforcing regulations which goes contrary to the idea.

We are exploring ways to make running Hubs have an economic cost. So not only do you not get a reward, you have to pay something. Exploratory phase, nothing definite yet.

I’m really curious how effective they will be. The buy in for a farcaster account is chump change for people who think they’ll get some kind of airdrop, I wonder what’s the line as far as hub cost goes. I have to assume they’re already dropping some funds on VPS’

what if only accounts that have a given threshold of arbitrary reputation on the network can run hubs? or there is some sort of vouch mechanism that can help those decide if an account can run a hub or not
