I think this model looks good to me. 1 question - will you create a way to automatically invite ALL current channel followers to be a member? I want all of my current followers as members for engagement in the channel and then I’ll use moderation to filter who can make new casts.

Maybe a way to opt into automatically converting followers into members by a specific deadline if that's the route the channel owner wants to take. If available, I'll be opting in but I understand some channel owners may not want to.

Edification please: active followers meaning of the channel itself or “within the host‘s circle”? Posting new casts or replying?

Important to note that “active followers” means followers that casted in the main feed of the channel before migration (not just liked or replied), I missed this when first reading the announcement! Maybe one additional sentence if extra clarification 🙏

That sounds good for the /politics channel. I'm interested to see how many people go through the process of becoming a member to post so removing initial barriers is a plus.

This would be such a nice convenience. Perhaps give larger channels the option to opt out? Not sure if it would be worth the effort or not, but defaulting to migration is 💯
