I’m quite upset, I purchased the WFC championship gloves and it hurt when I put them on and hit myself Are you planning on releasing a version of the gloves where I don’t hit myself?

Looks like they want a solution to the bot problem without the collateral damage of missing out on good new people. Seems like a fair ask. Not an easy one for sure.

Could bots ultimately be solved with World ID? How is the team thinking about that?

It’s a mindset shift that hiding spam happens at a different layer in permissionless network.

Dan, the problem they’re talking about is that Priority doesn’t work as intended. Cuts replies of old frens and non-bots. Maybe a filter where you can set users that aren’t bots as a power badge user could help. Unsure how easy to implement, but curation works…

Just happy there is an option. I prefer to see all for sure. Tbh I don't see too many bot-ish things personally, and if I do, well maybe I'll either have to control it manually or go to priority mode.

I think this person is trying to indicate that priority mode is not helpful. Lots of us had to turn it off because we weren't seeing our favorite humans' posts. Between this and the inability to turn off "recommended" casts, the feed can get very irrelevant. Tbh I can't stand those casts. Makes fc seem too cliquey.

I think our best bet is to work together as a community & report accounts like those, one by one. Not seeing them, doesn't change their presence. Our best line of defense is the community as there are so many of us. Maybe working on improving the reporting system is our best bet? I have yet to use so I can't comment rn

I remember in early web2.0 days, accounts which posted mainly several replies in a burst and went to sleep were considered bots. Turns out, that's exactly the posting scheme of 9to5 workers using your app in their coffee breaks. priority mode might catch too many false positives.
