This BTC loan product looks like the first integration of a passkey-based smart wallet in a major CEX.

Next, CEXs will suddenly "list" every DEX-based token using a similar integration.

In the same UI where you buy CEX tokens, you’ll be able to buy any DEX-based token. Exchanges will use DEX liquidity instead of spinning up their own. 

Users will spend from their CEX balance via a “magic spend” feature (no need to transfer balances to an onchain address first), and the purchased token will land in their onchain smart wallet address.

index like a search engine. Onchain indexing has always intrigued me since @programmer worked a ton on it at Zora for 721s.

Couldn’t they just look up whatever folks share on socials or trade using apps like interface etc

Now when DEXed are cheap enough, centralised exchanges will never be able to compete with them except for institutional order flow.

Maybe companies that have the best AI network will use AI to increase efficiency...

💯 I downloaded kraken for the first time to judge how different it was to CB (which I’ve been using since 2016). 

Was extremely surprised how many more tokens were available to trade.

Just add a third tab to Coinbase for DEXes on Base via Smart Wallet and let’s get this show on the road.
