I save everything I read (or want to read) to Reader and love being able to highlight in the browser. Also started up the Daily Review in the Readwise app again a few weeks ago as a healthier thing to do than automatically opening up Twitter and it's been great.

I use glasp.co. It supports Kindle, youtube transcripts as well as anything on the web can be highlighted and captured. I talk about it in my latest paragraph post: https://paragraph.xyz/@fblauer/curate-web-content-and-manage-knowledge-for-research

I do, and definitely recommend it paired with their Reader app (Readwise Reader). They're both great.

used to... & now that it isn't clear what apple is doing with books, the cost of switching becomes real envying all the lifelong kindle readers rn does anyone suspect apple could be working on something to kill readwise? I'm gonna die on this hill, satisfied or not.

Another +1 for Readwise, particularly Reader. - Good enough RSS reader. - Read-it-later functionality includes not just articles you send (manually or from feeds), but also ePubs & PDFs. - Highlights sync back to Readwise, and from there to Obsidian, Notion, etc. It's basically the center of the Internet for me now.

I am hopeful that this swing back to good RSS readers is a sustained thing—it may just bring about more wonderful independent writers and websites, that may offset the swarming that happens around the big platforms.

Anyone in this thread try Readwise and not like it and/or prefer something different? I currently use way too many apps for content consumption across devices - Pocket, Books, Raindrop, Kindle, Speechify, Medium - and have been looking to consolidate Heard great things ab Readwise but hesitant to port everything over
