Love that Coinbase's UI made it clear where the fault lies. Though political change in the EU is hard, citizens seeing popups like this could get them to say "WTF?" in all 24 official languages and vote for better regulators/regulations.

Sure, that one is a doozy. But hey, a lot of EU countries don't have c2c tax, and some countries don't have tax on profits if held for longer than 1 or 2 years (pair that with the lack if c2c tax for some great stablecoin plays) so... win?

As a Brit I’m so ‘poor’ I’m not even European anymore, but still have nonsense like this to deal with. To be fair to Coinbase it has been pretty seamless. Tfr in or out of larger sums get flagged but if you sign a tx for the external wallet to prove ownership they chill.
