The amazing thing about this Tesla Master Plan presentation is most people who claim to be serious about climate change: a. couldn't give you the break down of overall fossil fuel use like this b. understand the tactical, practical changes you could make to change it Ironic, because so many of them "hate" Elon.

Many of them hate nuclear too. They are quite simply suffering from the degrowth brain worm

I’ve definitely changed my views on climate change recently after listening to a few insightful podcasts, particularly on Jordan Peterson and Lex Fridman, Bjorn Lomberg research in this area is very interesting. https://open.spotify.com/episode/10Ycz73FvZrevEqDwkMzvv?si=4K2Vp67eSiS7qChSgJiyOA

People who claim to be serious about climate change fall into three categories: 1. Benefit from the status quo but need to virtue signal (big energy & finance) 2. The ESG crowd that makes $ without impact 3. Those who are genuinely serious but don't have the resources to make a dent Elon is an exception

What’s you like about the plan? A quick google seems uniformly negative Perhaps unsurprising given the techno king fall down the twitter hole 🕳️

I wish him effectiveness, but as with ESG and the rest, intention is important but execution is everything He'll have my respect once he's done it, not when he promises it.

one thing that I wished they elaborated on more was the potential to engineer short-term palliatives for climate change, like purifying and moving water to arid/semi-arid areas. other examples where if it isn't tesla, then it's going to be something else.

it’s the loss of trust for some, not just “hate”. two separate groups, different read outs.
