Something I’m thinking about after posting on Farcaster for the first time in a while: The only way for me to force notify my followers of a cast is to not post for a while What if posters could pay a minimum fee (set uniquely by each follower) to auto notify their followers of a cast🤔 cc @dwr.eth

I think giving people 1 "announcement" a week could work. We almost launched that feature a year ago. Might actually ship it.

If this was a part of Warpcast and not Farcaster, would this risk, in a world where there are a sufficient number of Farcaster clients, put people at risk of having to pay for an announcement on Warpcast, then CB Wallet, then Recaster, then... I'd be worried about it either pressuring people to only post on Warpcast or nickel and diming them because of the "fragmented" nature of the client ecosystem.

Offering 1 boost a week, in this same line of thinking, would be a great user experience. When I was boosted it was a totally different experience and I followed a lot of new people and people followed me. What wasn’t ideal was I got boosted right before I was leaving for camping so I didn’t use much of it. If you could choose when do do a 24 hour boost once a week, that could be an interesting tool for personal use and business marketing.

How have the metrics been for channel engagement since announcements were introduced there? Personally the channel notification tab is unusable for me now. I write way more than I read casts so I have to stay in channels that I want to post to but find the announcements super noisy.
