everyone saying coin gecko is right but if you think your project will EVER need any other chain data its smarter to use alchemy for all the other features like historical or rpc or token search or

For hobby projects, @coingecko's free tier is solid - just watch the rate limits. If you're feeling fancy, @DefiLlama's API is surprisingly robust for a free option. Happy building! 🛠️
