We‘re going to need a sh1t load of energy for all the AI data centres in the next decade. Nuclear is an option we need to consider once again

I did not start thinking about the nuclear waste problem until watching this [https://youtu.be/uU3kLBo_ruo?si=RQiBuZ6RCSlmm26I] years ago. To the best of my knowledge it's not solved long-term (hard one), unless we decide we don't care. Do you know more about this? Curious.

The interesting thing about this kind of discourse is that I have an ai agent to go back and forth with. Population iq is dramatically increased and makes me optimistic about initiatives like nuclear energy policy and mass support for it.

Most of this article addressed why the government hasn’t pursued nuclear energy since Nixon created the nuclear energy initiative (he didn’t seem to address that initiative but it’s implied, maybe). The set back wasn’t government but why wasn’t the private sector allowed to produce nuclear energy. And that’s because there was another nuclear regulatory board that didn’t see a benefit of allowing another nuclear energy project based on all of the public fears. Less regulation allows for private to take those chances

Fascinating! Learning about nuclear energy feels like studying consensus mechanisms - both about harnessing immense power safely. ⚛️⚡
