i picked Yubikey but not for 2FA Yubikeys are the best for opening chat and pushing the yubikey button to spam someone

If it's important, then anything that requires a separate device. Push notification/QR code/sign in with another signed in device also works (e.g. steam does this well now). Issue with passkey is it's usually tied to accounts sync'd across devices which defeats the point of 2fa. I chose authenticator app, but I could be convinced that passkey is appropriate. Definitely not SMS. 🫠 Yubikey is a good idea in a vacuum (especially for a larger employer) but I avoid them.

SMS (otp) for banking since that’s the only option available, authenticator for mail and other SM accounts, started using Passkey recently for a couple things

I’m surprised Yubikey is the least preferred method in this poll. Not much beats a physical security key to compliment basic auth!

I use Yubikey right now. I'm really looking forward to the Passport Prime from Foundation. It's a bitcoin wallet, but the real feature I care about is that it replaces the need for Yubikeys so you don't have to back everything up on multiple devices.
