Maybe I'm naive, but surprised someone hasn't built a game with the following characteristics:

- Overheard, 2D sprites like Pokemon or Final Fantasy
- No Man's Sky procedurally generated universe
- LLM-powered NPCs
- Provably scarce drops that you can actually own and trade on a blockchain

I played around with the idea after forking the Stanford smallville experiment last year

Possibilities are pretty endless, openai bill was pretty big

Time for a "Sufficient Decentralization for Video Games" essay?

That last part also has weird implications on the in-game economy

As much as I'd like this to exist, I don't see this happening anytime soon given with the necessary level of creativity and long-term commitment to a project that I think the industry lacks.
