$ANON came out of nowhere on Wednesday, November 13 (remember, remember, the 13th of November) when someone from @superanon launched an anonymous $CLANKER.
The market ate that one up, shortly sending it to > $4M Market Cap in the first day of trading; clearly indicative of something bigger at play.
The meta of 'Anon' would shift from Supercast - where superanon was essentially a feature - to the entire Farcaster community, as the connection to ZKProofs and true anonymity was made.
33Bits jumped into the action given their ZK tech history, and shortly after Publius and even the Dolphins (eeEeeeeee) announced intentions to leverage the ZKProof tech to anonymize casting/posting.
A wave of 'Anon' is upon us, as it enables a new form of expression on the Net, essentially public and private. Its scalability is still tbd, but it has captured enough imagination with AnonCast alone (judging by the daily feed) to spur future competition, innovations, and almost certainly, some controversy. 0 reply
