The fundamental challenge with building decentralized products Hide is really useful, but doesn't work if you are building a decentralized version of channels.

Has it been written somewhere why it can’t decentralise? I don’t see why each cast can’t have a Hidden In Channel boolean in the meta data (not familiar with how the protocol works) It would still be very valuable to have at the client level

Every spam cast would now require a second message to hide it. Bloats storage on the network. Further, you can economically attack a channel by posting programmatically, requiring the owner to use up hide actions and then have to pay for more storage.

What if instead of a “hide” message it’s a “delete” and it free up storage? In the end the owner of the channel can say “my channel, my rules, my storage, I deleted your message” Don’t like the owner behaviour? Create your own channel of use another one. Perfectly permissionless.
