Upcoming channel changes We're *previewing* some upcoming changes so people 1) can understand and 2) provide feedback. These changes are not launching yet. It will be a couple weeks. There will also be a bunch of communication to channel owners. After reading the entire doc, feel free to reply to with feedback or send me a DC. I would be interested in having a way to allow anyone to reply but only members to post. This would be a way to "vet" potential members – if they contribute to discussions, they can be invited to post top-level casts

Anyone can reply to a cast in a channel, but non-members will be below the fold (but still discoverable). I should add to the FAQ.

Gotcha, thanks. Would be nice if there was an easily discoverable non-members section and then an additional "probable spam" section Maybe even use badges for channel members? Then put non-spam, non-member replies below, and actually hide the probable spam

Anyone? or anyone with the membership? It's not the same. Mark is referring to having a way twhere anyone (with membership or not) could REPLY, but only members to CAST.
