What's your process for buying/trying new running shoes? Kinda hard to figure it out when you only really can feel the effect of them on a long-ish run. I keep looking at all the shoes available and just feel stumped.

Running Clubs, talking to other avid runners, + I find running shoe reviews from YouTube helpful. I need to find the link but there's a guy that does 100 miles in a show before he reviews it. That's pretty helpful

Kinda? https://www.nytimes.com/2023/03/30/well/move/running-shoes.html I think it comes down to preference and goals. I prefer cushioned responsive shoe. Currently, I'm in the ASICS Nova Blast. Also, if you live in the US most running shoe stores will custom fit you to a shoe.
