lol the problem already is people want to game the leaderboard even without financial incentive!

i respect people that play for fun. i want to be welcoming primarily towards them.

amount of grift brought by wrong incentives is not something i want to or am able to handle. 

downside is chaos and disarray.

i might consider creating a spinoff that would be designed like this from the beginning though

just try it out for a week and see what happens. You’ll definitely grow your user base regardless. What’s the downside of trying this out?

there’s design choices you can make that could minimize bots from
taking over. Here’s an idea:

Allow anyone to play framedl but outline requirements to be eligible for prize like FID, ENS, Connected wallet history, etc. You could also create a mint where you have to pay to mint it which makes you prize eligible
