1) what --- there's something wrong with the comms, because it's only now that i realize there's a group of people that are convinced the allowance is theirs to take (and that they're somehow different from farmers) we should probably adjust degen's mission to "reward quality content creators OR yourself" (ok, i get that locking implies interest, but then let's give it to everyone pro rata) here's a "shocking" revelation: if the only way the L3 works is if someone gives you free money to play with it, then there's no point in having it (but i agree openrank is not the way to go) wdyt? RAIN 6900 $DEGEN

To me there is no reason, as of today, to have a L3. The Web3 ecosystem often fall in the trap of thinking that everything can be incentivized economically and it will succeed, but that’s not how humans and social activity. Imo, the L3 brings almost zero value to $DEGEN, and not only that but brings a unnecessary layer of complexity. It should be halted unless someone presents a real use case for it.

yup. degen's tipping feature should have one central goal: either attracting new (unique) users or supporting creators. a mix of both is unrealistic imo. you can't convince someone - not degen, to stake and except they will support creators on fc. ogs didn't do it, new users definitely won't do it.

I'm not sure there is a perfect system. The team has tried several different process and they all have their pros and cons. I'm more into a quality based Allo but if i'm being honest, on a personal level, what i have to offer is Art and it's not the most wanted or valued thing here so saying so i'm actually shooting myself in the foot. I'm thinking of improving the actual mixed system : Locked + Openrank. You need to have X amount locked to trigger the allo, then the allo amount is based on you. Easier to onboard new people and make them buy and or lock Degens. But what do i know...?😅 😇

There needs to be a clear definition of a farmer. At what point does tipping become farming and who decides that. Is there fairness when we move the line just far enough so that certain people are not considered farmers?

It is necessary to understand that everyone ultimately wants to earn money. That open rank is not a solution, since new participants will simply have nothing to do there. There must be transparent conditions that equalize everyone. And the most important thing is not to change the rules retroactively

It must be clear that any applied system will depend on clear rules, in addition to certain limitations to avoid its exploitation. In my opinion, tips are a great way to provide a support to many people who can have support with that, but it is not a secret that many accounts having too much to give in their power fall into the bad move of giving only between themselves (rings) I think what we are missing is a touch to improve things, it is knowing which

I think freezing tips needs to be more liberal, providing a cooldown, but definitely not making any friends. We're playing whack-a-mole until the platform itself starts using Inferred Identity to figure out who's really farming, when, and how things connect together.
